The Forgotten Pumpkin Post

So October was busy, real busy, but that's no excuse for forgetting to show you our Halloween Pumpkins.

Things started out great. We finished our pumpkins and they were looking amazing.

That one's mine...

and that one's Mae's, smiling, of course,

So then the pumpkins had some camera time on their own...

And then we took them outside to light them and show them off in the dark...

And then things went a little sideways. I'm not sure exactly what happened but rays of light started shooting out of the pumpkins into the deep night sky and Mae got all possessed and well, I guess that's what happens when you're talking about a holiday called Devil's Night.

Skeletons in our Closets

Or in our rocking chairs, and this one just turned six months old last week!!

So here he was having a photo shoot...

Relaxing, just chilling all on his own when next thing you know...

He gets photo-bombed by Mabel.

And then he's like, "Well, you've come this far, you might as well get on in here."

And THEN, just when you thought that was fun... he sat up on his own...

And we celebrated.

The War on Food

Okay, so first off, I'm well aware of what that looks like and that is not what it looks like; see we're smiling.

Okay, so this is a game I made up a couple Saturdays ago where Mom and Dad had to pick a bunch of food from the fridge and cupboards and we had no idea what they picked. For the record we've got a little bit of ham, some raspberries and blueberries, some cheese, a marshmallow, some pirates booty.

Then we would get blindfolded and they would put the food in and we had to guess what it was.

Huge success, tons of fun, highly recommend it for a lazy winter Saturday.

Bat Girl Strikes Again

So Halloween was fun this year. We had a really big party at school that mom came to and then we had a parade and got to walk around and show other classrooms our costumes. Here's me with my bestie, Nadia.

Then we went out to Nana's and I painted a mask on my face and got serious about trick or treating. My cousin Sophie was a really spooky looking witch and Eli was, well, a fox.

And when it comes to jaguars, I got to hang with the most loveable jaguar of them all, Miss Mae.

Actually, Halloween kicked off a couple weeks ago. See, we were going to Jake's house and our moms and since Mae and I had just gotten our costumes we really wanted to wear them, so our moms and dads said what the heck and we all wore them.

And you should probably be careful when the Dark Knight and Batgirl are around.

Since we were dressed up we decided to hit up the local pumpkin patch and a playground by Jake's house, which was a lot of fun.

And these two were dressed up as Mom and Pax, best costumes ever.

Pax Attack

We interrupt this blog to bring you a little Paxton Oliver.

This is Natalie. She is Pax's best friend who comes over every day to hang out with him and Mabel. On this day she wore her red stripes and Pax was rocking his Christmas pajamas - twins!

Michigan 2013 | Part II

Okay, little delay but I'm back with Part II of our Michigan trip (which is now almost two months ago).

So the weather was terrible on Sunday so we packed up the crew and went bowling.

Mae had never been so after a quick lesson she got that ball on its way.

Then we cheered it on pretty ferociously and it resulted in one pin down for Mae - awesome, Mae.

Mae and Ana got a little caught up in cheering the ball on.

Then it was my turn to go.

Pax participated as well, even if it was a bystander with dad.

Say what you want but it worked!

After time went on Mae's ball-in-flight cheers took on a life of their own.

Another Sunday in Michigan, and this time we even conquered the weather with  a fun day of bowling.
