Frog Days of Summer

This is officially my 100th post, so let's just jump right in.

Started Father's Day out in my best outfit so I could look cute on Dad's day.
Went on a nice bike ride and then later in the day we headed out to Nana's for a Father's Day celebration with all my uncles and Papa. When we got there I noticed Nana's flowers needed water.
Eli is also a big fan of hydrated flowers.
And then all of a sudden it was like "Whoa! What the heck is that?!"
It's a what? A frog?
Oh, like Kermit, got it..
Okay, well, me and the frog here will check you later.

Finley Armweak

So here's the deal. Lance Armstrong wins Tour de Frances, that's just what he does (or did, I suppose). He rode his bike over treacherous terrain, up steep winding mountains, through driving wind and pouring rain; 2,241 miles and at the end he stood on the top of a podium pumping his fist and smiling.

Well, Armstrong, meat Armweak. I went on an 8-mile ride over the rugged terrain that is the paved bikepaths of Chicago that are about as mountainous as I-80 through Nebraska. About mile seven I was so exhausted I fell face-forward in my seat and that was that. Passed out. Oh, and if I didn't mention this already, I wasn't even pedaling.

...maybe I should start wearing those yellow LiveStrong bracelets...So passed out that even after the bike staff (Mom) got my helmet off I stayed asleep, all the way up the stairs and into bed. Needless to say I awoke with a newfound respect for cyclery.

Where I've Been

"What's new, Finley?"

Well, let me tell you... I had a picnic with my animal friends...
I'm quite certain Randy the Rabbit spiked the punch or something because after three cups of "tea" all of a sudden everyone was walking around with one eye open and slurring their baby babble and hugging and talking about how they should do this more often. It was like a ten-year reunion gone bad...
It's corn on the cob season! I've actually got a one up on most people that eat corn because I only have seven teeth right now, and five of those are only about halfway in. So while most people spend 42 minutes after dinner picking corn out of their teeth, I spend that time watching NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, with a clean set of gums.

Love Mom's necklaces.
And everybody needs a good grilled cheese once in a while.
