So just thought you all should see a little bit of where our boy Pax came from:
Here's Dad, circa somewhere around 1977-1979.
See that smile in that first photo - yah, Pax makes that exact same face.
Oh yah, and that's Papa, rocking a solid stache back when staches were authentic and not worn by 22-year-old hipsters who work at coffee shops and have tattoos that say, "You don't own me" in Chinese letters.
And here's my man Pax, circa, well, the last couple months.
Might be his personality, might be the white wig - Mom calls him Blond Melon, after an infamous band called Blind Melon who had a huge radio hit back in 1992 but who should have been better known because of a song called "Change" off of their self-titled debut album. Sorry, I digress. Anyway, sometimes we call him Pax and sometimes we call him P-Bucket and sometimes we call him crazy, but his extended family often thinks of him as Paxtrick.

Emjay
I feel like you all haven't seen much of Mae lately besides a small sighting here or there. Mae, or as she is also known - Maes, May-Jay, Mabel Jane, Bel, Bellycakes, Bellycracker, M. Jeff (this is in reference to Michael Jordan, also known as MJ) and the most recent one, with Pax learning her name - ME!!! That's what he calls her - ME!!!, and always with the exclamation points because Pax is, well, intense.
So here is a little of what she's been up to:
Her first Mabel-only Hawks game with Dad. This one was interesting. Knowing she was tired, Dad made sure they got to the game way early so they could bum around, eat popcorn, hang out, whatever. Well, they did that and then went to their seats. And approximately 38 seconds after the puck was dropped for the game to start, she turned to Dad and asked if they could go home. On the walk home she informed him she had an amazing time and when could they do it again... Dad is not sure when they can do it again, needless to say.
Hit up the bowling lanes for a birthday party, also a first... bowling.
Been lounging around with Pax...
And Dad...
And Buddy.
Been a champ going to school
And lastly, she got trapped in a box. I know, what? Well, she was sitting on Paxton's empty diapers box and we were all hanging out. Then we went into the other room and all of a sudden we heard a little thud and then Mae laughing hysterically and calling our names. We ran into the other room and found this. And she seriously couldn't get out. We could've left her there til Christmas.
