The Day I Ate Dog Food
I'm about dog bowl level when I scoot around Nana's, so I've been watching what goes in and out of that bowl, and I decided I wanted a sample. How was I going to do it? Actually, that was the easy part.
6pm, Friday night, I went in for the kill. I noticed Boss hopping up and down like a psychiatric ward patient so I knew it was about that time for him to eat. Then Nana made a gesture to the dog food bin and I made a b-line to the bowl. She poured in his two scoops (no, it's not Raisin Bran, it's dog chow) and I sat there next to his bowl.
Now I knew what this would do and my plan worked to perfection. Dad headed to get the camera and I positioned my binky in my mouth so they wouldn't think I was gonna eat it. I took a piece of food out, showed it to him (as you can see in the photo below), knocked it against my binky a couple times and Dad and Nana had a good laugh.
And then it was time. Out with the binky and in with the dog food, like lightning. Have you ever seen those guys change four tires on a Nascar in the pit? And how fast those things go off and on, the sheer madness of the quickness of the hand? Well, my move was faster... and the reason there are no pictures of it is because Dad threw the camera on the table and came over to get the dog food out of my mouth.
But for those few moments I got a taste... and I knew what it was like to be a furry four-legger... and I liked it.

Brushin My Chops
So I've got two teeth now, I know, it's a huge ordeal. And I gotta tell ya, there's good things about having teeth and bad things. One of the bad things is that you can accidentally bite your finger, which is just not cool. This morning I was pounding down some bananas when all of a sudden - WHAM! - I bit my index finger pretty darn good. Didn't feel good, I'll tell ya that.
But then there are the good things - like I think I look pretty cute when I smile with those two bottom teeth just sittin there. And I can actually bite through a cheerio now instead of grinding it up with my gums.
And best of all, I have teeth to brush. So we got a toothbrush and some toothpaste and I had my first go at brushing my teeth. And I loved it. You all should try it, it's fun.

Oh, and just for good measure, I thought I'd show you a picture of my buddy Eli. He is my cousin that I hang with all day at Nana's house and he's pretty cool. He and I are soulmates when it comes to putting away a plate of food. I mean, I can eat but this guy can really hammer it down. And sometimes, he's so into his food he doesn't even notice when there is asparagus on his head.

Finding the Fridge
So you're wondering where I've been. It's been almost a month and Dad has not posted a blog. Well, there's an explanation. I've been on the hunt for food. See, I'm always hungry and eating everything in sight and now that I'm really mobile, I can get out there on my own and look for food.
So I though I'd go on the prowl and look in the fridge...

Hmmm, asparagus, interesting...

I wonder how a red pepper would go with my oatmeal...

Hey, is there any ice cream in here...?

Whoa! The footing can get slippery with Boss's slobber on the floor...

Okay, so I've got my jammies on and I'm all set in my chair to eat, but now I can't see my food. Papa has been taking to calling me "The Sheepddog" with this look. Yo, Dad, how bout a hair clip for ol' Finley here.
