Friends In Low Places

As you know by now, there are many colors in the Finley Skertich rainbow. Well, I just added a few more. Through this long life I've lived I have gained many friends, one or two more famous than the others, and because I'm quite the urban hipster, some have given me their accessories in the hopes that me wearing them will enhance their celebrity status.

Brit gave me her specs.

Designer Carrie Mundane gave me hers as well. She really digs my lipstick application, but she doesn't appreciate when I wear the glasses crooked because, well, she's kind of a designer snob. But I told her it's my cookie and she's just down on the floor picking up crumbs.

Nicole Ritchie... her headband. I hung out with Nicole pre-drug phase, when she was actually fun and just liked to chill out and eat ice cream sandwiches. But I still wish her well.

This one hippie dude who wouldn't let me take his picture gave me his shades back in '68 when I met him at the John Fogerty concert in Oklahoma City. He went by just one name - Francisco. I told him that wasn't very original because he was from... yep, you guessed it, San Francisco. He responded, "But dudette, trees are love." Um, okay. Peace, Francisco.

And then this really old lady who I met in aisle 4 (the toothbrush and toothpaste aisle) at a Wal-Mart in Patchogue, New York, gave me her glasses. She squinted a lot and said I reminded her of her granddaughter and she wanted to give me something. I mean, at that point, what can you say except thank you. I gave her the bottle of Crest toothpaste I was holding and told her she reminded me of my dentist. We hugged, I headed for the checkout.

Mae's still working on her look, I gave her a pair of glasses that came from a doll I had and told her they were from Gilda Radner... she was really stoked.
Mae does, however, have her own hair style... we're not really sure what to call this or who gave it to her.
